Wool Felting - "Landscape with Sheep" -with Kathie Beale

Small Needle Felted Painting - “Wool painting” or “wool watercolor” is a technique used to create pictures, not by the method of dry or wet felting, but by placing multiple colors of dry wool in layers on a quilted fabric surface. If you’re new to needle felting, this will be a “mini-introduction” to get you started felting. In this one-hour class, you will make your own mini wool painting in a hoop to hang. All materials will be provided.

When you were young were you ever discouraged by a teacher from trying an art project? Have you heard that watercolor is a difficult medium? Do you think you're too old to take up watercolor? We will dispel these myths! Everyone has talent.Our accomplished artists from the Groton Art Class will work with you one-on-one to enusre you have a delightful experience ending with a a matted painting read to frame! Materials are provided and you can choose the subject you like from a dozen source photos.

Tea Lights with Pam Kavalesky

Create a fun dragonfly tea light using maple leaf "helicopters," twigs and wine glass. All supplies provided, including helicopters, twigs, paint, glitter, glue, wine glass and LED tea light.

Puppet making workshop after the show! Make your own unique hand puppet to take home. We will use fabric, beads, buttons, yarn, markers and hot glue and give your puppet a personality too!

The Pottery Works Glaze Your Own Tile Creation
Participants will choose from a selection of bisque ware tiles ranging in size, 3.5x3.5", 6x6" or 8x8" (some are plain and some have raised designs on them such as a mandala, butterfly or dragon.) Participants will then receive instruction on how to paint their piece with pottery glazes of their choice. Pottery Works will fire the tiles at our studio and will contact participants when they're ready for pickup. Participants will need to provide contact info.
