Board Member
Our board meets once a month on zoom. Board members are on at least 2 committees. See below for full description.
The Board will support the work of the CAC and provide mission-based leadership and strategic governance. Day-to-day operations are led by CAC’s executive director (ED). Specific Board Member responsibilities include: 🟃 Attend and participate in monthly Board meetings and annual Board retreat. In the event any Director shall be absent from three consecutive meetings without prior notice or just cause, that Director shall be assumed to have resigned from the Board of Directors 🟃 Chair and/or participate in at least two Board committees 🟃 Participate in CAC's annual Arts Off Main Festival and other fundraising events 🟃 Serve as adviser to the ED as s/he develops and implements CAC’s strategic plan 🟃 Set and monitor policies and budgets 🟃 Approve CAC programs to assure that they are aligned with its mission 🟃 Increase the awareness of arts and culture in Cortland County and of the CAC 🟃 Be informed of, and meet all, legal and fiduciary responsibilities 🟃 Represent CAC to stakeholders 🟃 Assist in identifying and recruiting other Board Members
