Scholarship Program

Cortland Arts Connect is introducing a scholarship program! We believe art is inclusive. Everyone deserves access to it.

Purpose: The Cortland Arts Connect Scholarship Fund awards scholarships to Cortland County residents who want to expand their creative growth/interest through participation in local visual and performing arts instruction.

Criteria: Cortland County residents of any age are eligible for consideration. Individuals can
apply by submitting an interest statement through cortlandartsconnect.org/scholarship or at the
recommendation of a teacher or mentor from a local organization (i.e. Cortland County school)
through cortlandartsconnect.org/scholarship. Consideration will be given to expressed interest in
the arts and financial need.


Guidelines: Scholarships will be awarded twice a year. Scholarship funds will go directly to the
business, organization, or individual that is offering the instruction. Individuals must commit to
attending the instruction in full.


Amount: The amount will vary, based on the cost of the instruction and will cover 100% of
instruction.


Deadline: Rolling


Renewal Process: The scholarship is a one-time award and is not renewable. Previous
scholarship recipients can re-apply however priority will be given to first time recipients.
